This is a book for Christian guitarists who are in, or who are contemplating joining a Praise and Worship Team, or Music Ministry. I have found that there are many anointed, and talented people that do not have all the skills necessary to function in a team environment. This is a music course designed to help these people acquire the minimum skills required. Although there is a considerable amount of music theory involved, this book makes no attempt to be an all-inclusive music theory course.Starting from the Chromatic Scale, this course shows you how you can play any chord or scale in any key, and teaches you how to transpose music 'on the fly,' and how to use a capo as a transposing and interpretive tool.Jim Vigh has been a professional guitarist for over 30 years. He is a graduate of the Guitar Institute of Technology based in Hollywood, California. Before finding Christ and becoming born-again, Mr. Vigh was a guitarist in lounge bands and wedding bands. Along with his extensive teaching and mentoring experience, he exhibits a passion for music and a passion for ministry. Mr. Vigh is currently a guitarist for a praise and worship team at his church in Cleveland, Ohio, and for 2 years was its’ interim leader.
