Obwohl der Blick von PädagogInnen ein konstitutives Element pädagogischer Arbeit darstellt, liegen über dessen grundlegende Logiken bislang nur wenige Erkenntnisse vor. An dieser Stelle setzt die rekonstruktive Studie von Friederike Schmidt an, in der die Autorin die Erfahrungen von PädagogInnen untersucht und hierüber den komplexen Aufbau pädagogischer Wahrnehmung entziffert. Entlang des mehrperspektivischen grundlagentheoretischen Zuganges wird der pädagogische Blick als Komplex mimetischer, diskursiver und habitueller Praxis näher bestimmt.
