Imogen: Or Only Eighteen is a novel written by Mary Louisa Molesworth, also known as Mrs. Molesworth. The book was first published in 1892 and tells the story of a young woman named Imogen who is just eighteen years old. Imogen is the daughter of a wealthy businessman and has grown up in a privileged environment. However, she is not content with her life and longs for something more.Imogen is a spirited and independent young woman who is determined to make her own way in the world. She is intelligent and well-educated, but she lacks practical experience and often finds herself in difficult situations. Despite this, Imogen is determined to succeed and is not afraid to take risks. The novel follows Imogen as she sets out on her own and tries to make a life for herself. Along the way, she meets a variety of interesting characters, including other young women who are also trying to find their place in the world. Imogen also has several romantic interests, but she is not content to settle down with any of them until she has achieved her own goals.Throughout the book, Mrs. Molesworth explores themes of independence, self-discovery, and the challenges faced by young women in the late nineteenth century. The novel is a compelling and insightful look at the life of a young woman trying to find her place in the world, and it remains a classic of Victorian literature. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
