Immortal Imaginings is a product of the author’s recent episode in June-July 2024. It basically flushed out her trauma for the past 13 years of acquiring the sickness. She has turned her painful experiences of losing loved ones into poems. She also penned her musings, ruminations, realizations and reflections in the past 38 years. So far, this would be her second poetry book. The poems were all personal and intimate. She managed to turn her sorrows into free verse poetry and this is one way of coping for her. In the poems, she expressed her dreams and hopes, her prayers and vindication, her silent woes and worries. Evident in the title of the Chapters, she explored the rifts and cracks of her 38 years and endeavored to make amends. The title Immortal Imaginings is her original which she penned during one of her recovery episodes in 2017 when she was still heartbroken and healing from a past heartbreak. Though painful, the author marveled at the grace or unmerited favor that God showed her in times of distress. She is joyful that we can turn her darkness into good, curses to blessings and closed doors to opportunities. Feel her heart. Connect with her pain, fear and hopes.
