My dad says, “Leave the lizards and bugs outside like your brother does.”    But I say, “I’m not he, I’m me! I like keeping the insects in my room, that’s what interests me.”    This book tells the story about a younger sibling trying to have his own identity within the world that surrounds him. The younger brother is eight and is constantly mistaken for or compared to his older brother who is ten. He doesn’t understand the confusion because he knows that they are clearly two completely different people, and therefore should be seen different.    He goes through life patiently trying to explain to everyone who he is, hoping they would eventually get it, as he frustratingly points out the differences between the two. Lately, his most used sentence has become, “I’m not he, I’m me!”About the AuthorDebra Powers-Cook graduated from Alexander High and FIDM/Fashion Institute. She currently spends her time chauffeuring her boys to and from basketball events, volunteering at their dual immersion public school. Her interest in children’s book writing came as an inspiration from her children’s love for being read nightly bedtime stories and wonderful imagination.     This helped motivate her to take a writing course from the Institute of Children’s Literature. Her hobbies include yoga, hula dancing, horseback riding, reading, shopping and traveling with her family.About the TranslatorGraham Cook is a 6th grade student. He was always a talker ever since he was 2 years old and he did a lot of it. He was introduced to Spanish in a dual-immersion program during K-6 grades, where he would learn to become a fluent Spanish speaker, reading and writing it. This helped enable him to translate the Spanish part of this book. His first love is basketball and lots of it.  3
