I personaggi sono infatti tutte persone vere, così come i luoghi, tutti quanti però immersi nella fantasia. La particolarità di questa fiaba è di esser scritta in rima baciata. Linda è una fanciulla con la passione per i colori, perciò un giorno si reca a visitare una mostra di quadri per ammirare ogni sfumatura di quei capolavori, quando a un certo punto si accorge che una delle tele esposte possiede qualcosa di paranormale. Attratta da quella sinistra opera decide di rubarla, sotto consiglio del curatore della galleria d’arte, il quale in seguito rivelerà la sua vera identità, quella di un demone. Da quel momento Linda accompagnata da una bellissima fata sarà costretta ad iniziare un viaggio che la porterà a lasciare la sua Verona per recarsi in Piemonte dove tra profezie, strumenti magici, pozioni, boschi incantati e aggeggi infernali, scoprirà fatti oscuri che si legano a una sua vita passata, risalente a più di seicento anni prima.
