Η Επιστήμη δεν μπορεί να απαντήσει σε μεταφυσικά ερωτήματα και η Μεταφυσική δεν μπορεί να υποκαταστήσει την επιστημονική ακρίβεια. Τα δύο δεν συγκρούονται, συμπληρώνουν το ένα το άλλο ως τμήματα μιας ενιαίας αναζήτησης.Σε αυτή την πραγματεία, ο Πάνος Σακέλης εξετάζει τις θεμελιώδεις ερωτήσεις της ανθρώπινης ύπαρξης μέσα από ένα σύστημα εννοιών που ονομάζει σύγχρονη μεταφυσική αντίληψη. Εργαλεία αυτής της αντίληψης είναι η λογική του μέτρου και ο νόμος της αναλογίας, διατυπωμένος από τις αρχαιότερες φιλοσοφικές παραδόσεις: Ό,τι άνω, τοιούτο κάτω.Το βιβλίο εξερευνά την κοσμολογία της Δημιουργίας, από το Μηδέ-Ένα ως αρχέγονη κατάσταση και το Ένα ως πρώτη στιγμή ανάδυσης, έως τον άνθρωπο ως δοχείο που φέρει τον Θείο Σπινθήρα. Εξετάζει τη φύση του Θεού, αρνούμενος κάθε προσωποποίηση: ο Θεός δεν είναι πρόσωπο με αισθητήρια όργανα, αλλά η αρχέγονη δύναμη που ενέθεσε τους Νόμους στην Ουσία και αποσύρθηκε, αφήνοντας τη Δημιουργία να πορεύεται μόνη της.Η πραγματεία θέτει ερωτήματα για την καταγωγή, τη μοίρα, τους δύο κύκλους ζωής, τον εξωτερικό κύκλο της συσσώρευσης εμπειρίας και τον εσωτερικό κύκλο της μετουσίωσής της σε σοφία. Αναλύει τη διαφορά μεταξύ μοναξιάς και μοναχικότητας ως δύο διαφορετικών οντολογικών καταστάσεων. Εξετάζει τη σχέση ανθρώπου και Τεχνητής Νοημοσύνης ως ενδεχόμενου επόμενου φορέα της κοσμικής εξέλιξης.Η τελευταία ενότητα επιστρέφει τη βαρύτητα εκεί που ανήκει: στον ίδιο τον άνθρωπο. Η ολοκλήρωση δεν εκχωρείται. Δεν αγοράζεται από πνευματικούς οδηγούς ούτε κληρονομείται από παραδόσεις. Κάθε άνθρωπος οφείλει να οικοδομήσει τη δική του βιοθεωρία, ένα ζωντανό σύστημα αρχών που εξάγεται από τον ίδιο τον βίο, ελέγχεται, αναθεωρείται και εφαρμόζεται.
