Alberto Monte es inspector y su carrera por fin está dando un giro. Logró detener a un conocido ladrón y traficante de drogas que había estado aterrorizando el barrio de Benetife durante casi tres años, pero eso no es todo: su jefe acaba de prometerle un ascenso. Lo que tiene que hacer es incriminar a otro criminal que está haciendo pasar un mal rato a las autoridades. Su modus operandi es particular, porque parece que detrás de sus acciones hay mensajes, de que los robos que comete no se limitan solo a la acumulación de bienes.
