I Was Reborn in the Fire is a story about my search for happiness through healing, self-care and self-love.My name isWilliam Jenkins, and I am the author ofI WAS REBORN IN THE FIRE.I wrote this book because of a dream. Then I thought I was doing everything I could to live a vibrant, healthy life; but something was still off. It was in my discovery of self, my mind/body connection, and my opening to self-love and acceptance that I healed my body, and provided myself the foundation to live a life of optimal wellbeing. The dreams of a phoenix rising from the flames of hell, rising from the ashes means to emerge from a catastrophe stronger, smarter and more powerful mind, body and soul. Sometimes you have to burn yourself to the ground (things will get worse before they can get better) before you can rise like a phoenix from the ashes.A redeemed life is a transformed life. It is an issue of the heart, not primarily an issue of behavior. A persons’ outward life is the result of what is happening within their heart. Any person can conform to a list of rules and regulations for a time, but if they are depending on their own ability to resist temptation, they will eventually fail. Every demographic of people experiences hurt, pain and sin. All people relate. All live a life wanting to be cherished and loved, accepted and allowed to feel beautiful. All want to be acknowledged and will go to great lengths to devote themselves to the one who acknowledges them, believes in them, protects them and desires nothing but what is best for them.The moment we understand that we are all in this together, in spite of the various degrees of our experiences, we are taking the first step to not only self-awareness singularly, but self-awareness amidst the masses. No more should we feel we have to bear the weight of any burden alone. And since we are not alone, we can bring our self-awareness to the table of vulnerability and seek help through talking, writing, sharing our stories. So as the fire burns, you will be rise up and leave your sins and ashes behind!My hope is that, in reading this book, you will discover the importance of knowing and loving you. In this book, I hope to inspire in you the same sort of awakening and excitement that I have for self-awareness.
