'There's a monster in my bed. As I grab my father's arm to me, he is the strongest man in the world, but he is tired from work and his eyes are blurry and he cannot see there's a monster in my bed.' Every family has some sort of a secret. Some are small and harmless and others are the total opposite. But what if the family secret consumed all of the energy out of one member? What happens then? Some families deal with their secrets out in the open. Then there are other families that try to bury them. Sometimes it's just one family member who tries to bury the secret and sometimes it is the whole household. What happens when you bury something? Sooner or later someone will discover your buried treasure. Nothing rarely stays buried forever. Even the sands of the desert have to give up their buried kings. This book is about my family secret, how it was buried and how it was discovered and how things were handled after the big discovery. This book is also filled with poetry from my first book, 'Ghetto Love: My Version of Sex, Pain and Love.' I hope this book encourages others to comfort their family secrets and unbury them. When things are buried, they only cause more pain to build up until one day someone explodes.
