Dopo aver condotto per sei mesi uno studio storico-critico sui vecchi giornali della stampa di Kinshasa e Boyomese, conservati presso il Dipartimento Periodici della Biblioteca Centrale dell’Università di Kisangani, abbiamo potuto redigere un’opera il cui obiettivo principale è quello di fornire, prima ai giovani intellettuali congolesi e poi ai congolesi comuni, e anche agli scienziati in generale, un panorama dei principali eventi dei giorni di gloria del regime di Mobutu.Regime di Mobutu (1965-1985), basato sugli scritti dei cavalieri della penna dagli anni Sessanta agli anni Novanta, redattori o corrispondenti della rivista Zaïre-Afrique e di altre riviste, in relazione alle realtà storiche vissute nel Paese.
