Do you want to learn to read and cook?Aardvark and Mouse will show you how!Grab your mom, dad, grandparent, or friend.Let your reading buddy be Aardvark, and you can be Mouse.Have fun reading and cooking together!I Can Cook! is a 6'x9' color print paperback for emerging readers. This is the second shared reading book in the series by Karen S. Robbins of Hide and Seek Press following I Can Count! Robbins holds a M.Ed in Early Childhood Education and believes beginning readers need to read with a buddy. They should not read alone. This unique shared reader is a perfect book for all beginning readers but especially for children with special needs. Reading together is easier and fun to have another reader. The sentences are short with lots of repetition to build reading confidence. So, grab your mom, dad, sibling, friend, teacher or grandparent and read together. One reader will read Aardvark’s words in blue and the other will read Mouse’s words in black. Kids will have fun reading together while learning to make a cute, race car sandwich from a hot dog bun. It’s a perfect sandwich for back to school lunches, picnics, birthday parties, etc. Making a race car sandwich is one of Karen’s favorite food creations, enjoyed by children for decades and published in several magazines. Robbins believes all children must learn to read to win at their game of life. She hopes you have fun reading and cooking together!
