The notion of intelligence, and human intelligence at that, is a complex one, insofar as a number of scientific fields attempt to address it, or rather to focus on it. This philosophical study has set itself the task, following Bergson, of presenting human intelligence as a means of making adaptation possible. To achieve this, we must first overcome the mechanistic conception of human intelligence, which reduces intelligence to determining and knowing in advance everything that will happen. In contrast, the thesis put forward by Henri Bergson, and supported by this work, invites us to understand intelligence more as a faculty that applies itself first and foremost through action, in order to resolve any difficulty. In this sense, intelligence is understood in terms of action, since man pursues a precise goal by means of action, such as making an instrument for some purpose. To achieve its full potential, intelligence needs to be based on the long term, drawing on imagination and intuition, as well as on the dynamics of creativity. So, to succeed in solving a problem, we need to rely on these factors
