The book relays the excruciating details of several catastrophic car crashes that resulted in major injuries in order to disabuse readers of the common notion that some drivers are immune to such outcomes on the road. It employs an abundance of firsthand and secondhand accounts to drive home the point that car accidents can occur to anyone, regardless of their social class or degree of driving aptitude and experience.
