Para los mayores era 'beber café o chocolate', mientras que para los jóvenes era ingerir aguardiente o coñac. Algunas de las palabras que aparecen en Hondureñismos se perdieron con el paso del tiempo. Sin embargo, la mayoría todavía es usada en la actualidad. Hondureñismos es la segunda obra de Alberto Membreño que reeditamos en Colección Erandique. El primero fue Nombre geográficos indígenas de la República de Honduras.
