The idea for Home Is Not This Body started in a bar called Rey’s located in Greenville, South Carolina. One night at Rey’s, I was writing my first novel, The Escapist. A lady drunkenly walked through the doors, came up to me, and asked what I was doing. I told her that I was writing a novel. She told me that I should write a novel where other people write the story. One person starts the story off and then passes it on. Months later, I took the idea and ran with it. I started the story based on my encounter with her. However, I decided to make her the main character...Whew! I’m Marcia Reyes.
