The Arab terrorists who hijacked this aircraft at the Karachi International Airport did not discriminate between Arabs and non-Arabs in their desperation to be heard, and the hijacking itself is but a symbol of the underlying hatred and unease that pervades the world. This is a book not to be missed, due to the sheer power of the event itself. Shaffi also uses this hijacking, this frightening and yet, in the end, useless gesture to make his plea for a peaceful existence in the world and particularly in the Middle East.
