Hoagie & Katie is the first book of the Hoagie & Katie book trilogy series. Hoagie the hamster finds himself in a strange new world when his hamster ball rolls a bit too far from home. Adventure ensues as Hoagie makes an unlikely friendship with Katie, a capybara, who has wandered away from her family too! The two embark on a journey that leads them through wonder, danger, and surprise as they meet a memorable roster of characters while they search for Katie’s family. The strong friendship between the two prompts Katie to ask her capybara group if Hoagie can stay with them, and Katie’s parents must decide if Hoagie would be a good addition to their large clan.
