La raccomandazione di iniziare precocemente l’uso degli antiretrovirali mostra grandi benefici, portando a un aumento della morbilità e della mortalità e a una riduzione della trasmissione dell’infezione. L’obiettivo generale di questo studio è stato quindi quello di fare il punto sul trattamento antiretrovirale e sulla resistenza attraverso una revisione sistematica. Sono state utilizzate tutte le pubblicazioni scientifiche con dati sul trattamento antiretrovirale e sulla resistenza a partire da una determinata data (2017-2021). Le mutazioni virali sono state denominate secondo il consenso del Los Alamos National Laboratory, utilizzando come parametro il sequenziamento del sottotipo B, quindi utilizzando la lettera dell’amminoacido seguita dal codone (locus genico) aggiungendo la lettera del nuovo amminoacido. In Brasile, i principali pattern mutageni identificati con la massima prevalenza sono K70R, M184V e T215F/Y, e sporadicamente L210W, Q151M, Y115F, G333D/E, F116Y e L74I.
