HIS YOUNG FRIENDS is a chapter book for juvenile readers. Each story focuses on a child that might have encountered Jesus while He was on earth. Can you imagine what it must have been like to see Jesus heal your brother, or raise your best friend from the dead, or stop a storm when your boat was sinking? While the characters are fiction, the events are based on manuscripts written in the first century A.D., and references are given to the Biblical text. Each of the 22 stories stands alone, but together they explore the earthly life of Jesus Christ. Each story contains quotes from the Bible. This book is fun to read with lots of colorful pictures to help children imagine what it might have been like to live in the first century. HIS YOUNG FRIENDS teaches that Jesus came to show God’s love to everyone!
