Het Vrouwenparlement, or ’Women in Parliament’, is a Greek comedy written by Aristophanes. The play revolves around a group of women who, fed up with their husbands’ incompetence, decide to take over the government and institute a new order. However, as is often the case with Aristophanes’ comedies, nothing goes quite as planned. Het Vrouwenparlement is a hilarious commentary on gender relations and politics, and a must-read for anyone interested in Greek drama. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.This work is in the 'public domain in the United States of America, and possibly other nations.
