About the AuthorRoland Woodward is a retired chartered forensic psychologist living in the United Kingdom. Despite being dyslexic, he has been writing poetry throughout his life. Recently, Roland has dedicated more time to his passion, joining fellow poets in his local area and pursuing publication opportunities.Roland’s previous work includes The Cancer Years: So Far, a poignant collection of poems chronicling his ongoing battle with prostate cancer since his diagnosis in 2019. Additionally, he has published The Travelling Years, inspired by his experiences in English hotels and restaurants during his time as a clinician.About the BookHerod’s Children Crumulent Collection is Roland’s third short poetry collection, focusing on his experiences of failure. Despite being submitted to various competitions and formats, these poems have faced rejection. However, Roland maintains a fondness for them, recognizing the value of each piece in his own life and experience. Through this collection, he hopes to resonate with others who have faced similar challenges in the pursuit of their artistic aspirations. Roland encourages aspiring writers to embrace the writing process as a means of finding meaning in both the external world and their internal universe.
