The incongruity of morality and dark comedic absurdities are developed through labyrinthine converging parallel storylines. Follow Rab as he becomes a media celebrity, has a contract taken out on his life by jealous academics, befriends an atheist ghost, becomes the focal point for a global religion and ends up saving the world. Oh,and there is a clever monkey, an ameliorating artificial intelligence and a priest who changes his church’s fashion sensibilities.
