Obwohl es sich um eine kleine Studie handelt, ist sie die erste, die die Her-2-Überexpression bei ägyptischen Patienten mit Magenkrebs untersucht. Zum ersten Mal wurde eine Koexpressionsanalyse des Enzyms Topoisomerase IIa in Übereinstimmung mit Her-2 durchgeführt. Im Hinblick auf die regionalen Unterschiede im Verhalten von Magenkrebs war es wichtig, solche Forschungsarbeiten durchzuführen, um zu untersuchen, wie unterschiedlich sich Magenkrebs in Ägypten verhält.
