Heart & Soul

Heart & Soul is a powerful coming-of-age sports drama about survival, legacy, and the steep cost of chasing a dream in a world built to see you fail.Raised in the concrete shadows of the projects, Andre Washington learns early that talent alone isn’t enough. Basketball becomes more than a game-it’s his escape, his armor, and the only place where the noise of the streets finally fades. On cracked blacktop courts surrounded by sirens, broken homes, and buried dreams, Andre plays with a hunger forged by loss and responsibility far beyond his years. But behind the highlights and cheers is a young man carrying invisible weight: a fractured family, the pressure of being 'the one,' and the constant pull of the streets that shaped him. Every victory brings him closer to opportunity-and farther from the people he loves. As scouts begin to circle and doors start to open, Andre is forced to confront a brutal truth: success demands sacrifice, and not everyone can come with you. When life delivers devastating blows-betrayal, violence, and choices that can’t be undone-Andre’s heart is tested just as much as his skill. Love challenges him. Loyalty traps him. And the past refuses to stay buried. Standing at the crossroads between destiny and destruction, he must decide whether basketball will save him-or cost him his soul.Heart & Soul is more than a basketball story. It’s a raw, unflinching portrait of a young man fighting to rise without losing himself-a story about where you come from, what you carry, and whether the dream is worth the price it demands.
