The Peeles of RSM is a History - Genealogy book on the settlement of the Peele family in the Richmond, Scotland, and Marlboro counties on the border of North and South Carolina. It covers three different segments of the family coming to the RSM area from 1803 to 1836. It highlights their migration from Virginia into North Carolina and then to the RSM area and beyond to Indiana. It contains some wills, some deeds, and estate settlements as well as writeups on persons of interest. It centers upon the main family of Robert Peelle (1801-1864) who was born in Wayne County, North Carolina, but settled in the RSM area with more than three thousand descendants in his family tree. This book was completed with the help of several family members who were contributors of information. Hopefully, it will remain as intended -- a research tool for future Peele/Peelle generations.
