Haunted by the Horseman

Vonne Jones was meant to be on a research exchange, tracing the historical links of her home county, Scotland, with the tourist trap of Sleepy Hollow, the quintessential haunted American town. A folklorist by training, and occultist by preference, her skills are put to different use when a local grave is found disturbed in the cemetery, a spine left atop the upturned earth like some strange offering. After being pulled into the investigation Vonne meets a strange horse on the road back home, and her owner is even stranger. John is polite, funny, and charming, but there’s one big snag - he can remove his head. Entangled in the Horseman’s legend, Vonne is drawn to John as a man more than the myth, and his interest in her is as flattering as it haunting. But Vonne isn’t the only one who knows the Horseman is wandering out of his grave. Someone in the town is trying to summon him, enforce the old contract that’s kept him bound to Sleepy Hollow for centuries to turn his sword against their enemies. Someone who is willing to kill, though John or through their own hands, to get what they want. When the attacks become direct and her life is endangered, Vonne must use her training and wits to find who is pulling the solider out of his grave before they find a way to control him, or manage to kill her, to send their message.A novella entry to the Monster Erotica Collection, this is an erotic horromance with heavy leaning on the horror.
