Die beiden alten Damen lassen es sich auf der Pazifikinsel gutgehen, knabbern ab und an einen Grashalm und reden - über vergangene Zeiten, über das Leben und über den Tod. Dieter Heymann ist eine muntere Mischung gelungen: eine Hommage in Form einer Roman-Biografie an seine über alles geliebte Mutter und ein weiter Bogen von deren Lebensgeschichte über Lokalhistorismus hin zu den Thesen der großen Philosophen.
