The aim of this book is to provide advanced up-to-date information regarding solid state laser. It covers the experimental as well as theoretical characteristics of solid-state lasers, comprising of optimum waveguide design of diode pumped and end pumped lasers. In this book, topics like chirped pulse oscillators, up frequency conversions and nonlinear conversions have been covered along with a few recent rare-earth-doped lasers, inclusive of halide and double borate crystals. It also covers the feedback in quantum dot semiconductor nanostructures.
