A literatura britânica do século XVI renascentista sofreu a influência de obras-primas de grandes homens que injectaram um motivo generoso no cânone literário da época. Ao estabelecer uma pesquisa peculiar do lado dos heróis das duas peças de Hamlet e Doutor Fausto, deparamo-nos com o aparecimento de personagens inéditas que carecem de maior precisão. Os pensamentos filosóficos de Friedrich Nietzsche são úteis para aplicar uma leitura crítica das duas peças de teatro de forma comparativa, a fim de esclarecer os níveis profundos do trabalho de base destas duas peças. Para o fazer, estão a ser observados conceitos fundamentais retirados das teorias de Nietzsche, cada um dos quais, apesar de se poderem encontrar numa série de sobreposições, representam o complicado conceito de Homem Renascentista. Por fim, percebe-se uma implicação moral na base literária das duas peças, que se baseia nos esclarecimentos de Nietzsche ao exprimir os vários altos e baixos da vida e ao manifestar os resultados de tais perigos ocorridos com os heróis, que visam diretamente o leitor literário sobre a forma de suprir o ritmo eterno da vida como o mero significado da humanidade.
