This book is divided into two parts: the ancient and contemporary parts, with 89 and 151 songs, respectively, and a total of 240 songs. The songs are sorted by Chinese pinyin.In the ancient part, each song has a numbered musical notation and a staff musical notation. In the contemporary part, 76 songs have a numbered musical notation and a staff musical notation, and 75 songs have only a numbered musical notation or a staff musical notation.
