Haiku tsumami-gokoro es el título de esta antología de ciento cincuenta haikus, en su mayoría inéditos en castellano, inspirado en un haiku de Buson que habla de un «corazón que quiere atrapar» (tsumami-gokoro) a una mariposa. Haiku tsumami-gokoro hace referencia a ese celo que debe alentar cualquier labor de recopilación poética.Por lo tanto, el criterio de selección de los haikus contenidos en este libro ha sido tan sólo el aware que éstos han despertado en el traductor. Es importante ser conscientes de que sin entender qué es el aware no se puede llegar al secreto último de la sensibilidad japonesa. 10
