La discapacidad ha sido considerada como una problemática que tiene consecuencias personales, familiares y sociales que llevan a la exclusión social. Por tal razón, este libro ofrece una nueva perspectiva de la discapacidad desde la teoría y la acción. Con este fin se desarrolla el proyecto centrado en Habilidades diversas y resiliencia comunitaria para visibilizar las capacidades de esta comunidad al implementar y consolidar metodologías de atención integral, desde una perspectiva de inclusión. Los resultados de la investigación ayudan a clarificar y reconstruir el concepto de discapacidad desde la perspectiva de habilidades diversas o talentos articulados al fortalecimiento de redes de apoyo, de inclusión social y educativa, para que la población en condición de discapacidad pueda adaptarse a sus dificultades sin que haya una pérdida de su proyecto de vida; todo lo cual puede resultar de gran utilidad para sus familias, para los profesionales de las ciencias sociales, educativas y para todos a quienes les interese implementar estrategias de apoyo para las comunidades vulnerables.
