Mỗi phần mở đầu bằng một trích dẫn --- từ kinh điển, từ lời dạy, và từ chuyện kể --- rồi tới lời tác giả bình luận và thêm vài câu thơ. Tác phẩm dịch sang tiếng Hàn vào giữa thế kỷ 20 bởi nhà sư Hàn quốc Boep Joeng. Và được dịch sang tiếng Anh bởi Thiền sư Hoa Kỳ Hyon Gak.
