This book is written to help us understand what God is saying concerning anything that we are facing. Jesus was taught wisdom when He was growing up and we need to know what source was used to teach Him that wisdom. All Jewish families used the book of Proverbs to instill boundaries, priorities, dangers, values, and responsibilities into the mind of the child as he studied the other scriptures of the Bible. God has blessed us with the same source to establish these things in our minds.This book is to help us to understand the wisdom of God as we walk out our lives before Him in His wisdom. Don Hall has pastored Homestead Heights Community Church in Fort Smith, Arkansas, for the past 34 years and has worked with street people, alcoholics, drug addicts, prisoners in jail, etc.. Don has been in the ministry for 52 years and has practiced reading a chapter in Proverbs every morning to start his day for 45 years and has read the Bible through 76 times. He learned that most of the people with whom he worked have little ability to personally apply to themselves what they read in the Bible so he has worked to develop different plans to help them adjust. In addition to Guidelines For Living Don has developed the Spiritual Sensitivity Exercise Program and a workbook, Praying Effectively.
