A historical marker located in the heart of Snow Camp states that Lord Cornwallis camped in the area after the Battle of Guilford Courthouse and used the home of a Quaker, Simon Dixon, as his headquarters. This is a documentation of a place in'time' as it slowly, but surely, slips away! Debbie Moon, the author, was granted the privilege of growing up in such an environment at such a time as this!
