Thirty-five-year-old James Kingman is in uncharted territory. His wife, Megan, and their daughter, Maddie, were killed by a drunk driver, and he is ill-equipped for the messy process of grieving. He has never been one to back down from a good and righteous fight, and he isn’t going to start now. Following the loss of his wife and daughter, he simply has nothing to lose. Everything changes when an unforeseen romance with fellow attorney Julie Langdon adds renewed vulnerability to James’s life. Abducted by the leader of the local supremacist group, Julie becomes a pawn intended to force James to back down from attempts to prosecute the group. Forced to make a decision to abandon a trusting and traumatized coed or risk losing Julie, he is determined to find another solution.
