Gregory Crane was born in 1951 in Bremerton, WA. He received his Bachelors of Fine Arts in 1975 from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City. After completion of his degree, Crane enrolled at The Art Students League in New York City; studying there from 1976 - 1980.
