MORE PEOPLE CALLED SIR GEORGE?Yes! Following the welcome for the Ten Tiny Tales which all featured different characters having only their name and title in common, here are ten more off the same production line. Well - perhaps not exactly ten for the savvy reader may well spot a second appearance from one who featured in Good Morning, Sir George! Once again these Tales have a real-life location or are set against a background of historical events. As with the previous collection, to save the reader from diving into the Internet or even library shelves, I have taken the liberty of adding a note of explanation. As time has moved on since the first appearance of a phalanx of similarly titled personages so has the time of day of each Tale altered and all our occasions and greetings are post noon.So here, to pass an idle hour, you may find how- perhaps -  a popular snack came by its trademark addition; how a famous children’s author got an idea for a story. Read how the world’s first railway branch line and a Second World War fighter bomber might not have happened without the intervention of a 'Sir George' and enjoy other diversions                                            including one 'Sir George' who doesn’t say a single word!Royalties received from the sale of this work are donated to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.

Stuart Evans’s first novel is a comedy-of-ill-manners set in a nouveau riche milieu: a fantastic satirical performance and hyper-referential homage to masters past and present. Paul Keller is the Stephen Dedalus of the piece, the son of Robert and Sylvie, whose internal monologue is spliced into the action, and whose incestuous feelings for his sister lead to an increase in his...

One day during the 2019 County Cricket Season, Donald Yule remarked to a friend, that the chap who had walked past them in the Lord’s pavilion looked like he should be called 'Sir George'. When circumstances necessitated that Donald  invent  stories to publish in a wee book  which would raise money for charity,  the time seemed ripe for  a number of 'Sir George' characters to ...
