Fear of the Golem, Lord Wortrin, an alien mind trapped in an electro-mechanical body, is the drum they beat. It is again to Earth that Corin and Leelay turn, seeking to use digital technology to restore Wortrin to his native form. But behind the scenes, Yeshua, avatar of unconditional love, forces Queen Zenica back to Paltane, and inexorably turns their efforts toward a greater and terrifying goal.
