In God’s Financial System you will discover that God put his method of giving in the hearts of mankind in general. This book will examine the tithing systems of ancient cultures, and how they may have influenced God’s people. But most of all it gives an examination of many overlooked Scripture passages dealing with tithe. The question of tithing continues to be a controversial issue in the church today. What is God’s system? Many church leaders teach that it is required for all Christians to give a tithe (one tenth) of all their income. Some insist tithe be given before taxes while others after taxes, some insist that tithing was a requirement under the Old Testament which is not renewed in the New Testament; therefore, it is no longer binding on Christians, because of the New Covenant in Christ. Others believe that tithing is scriptural and should be paid, but they all may differ on the methods of application. Leonard is convinced that God has given tithing and offerings as a pattern for church finance. It is not reasonable to assume that an institution as complex as the church, with the need for monetary resources to carry out its duties in a variety of areas, to have been left without any divine guidance concerning how to secure its financial necessities. Ministers and Church leaders will find its contents to be beneficial material on the subject of tithing. For every devoted Christian it will be a stimulus to cheerful and generous giving. Leonard M. Payne, Jr. is a minister, author and conference speaker, who believes his divine mandate is to restate needed Biblical truths for each rising generation in order that they may see in focus. He has authored: Un-redeemer Sons and Daughters; My People Yesterday, Today and Forever; and Christians Disguised As Prisoners. Leonard resides in St. Clairsville, Ohio with his wife, charlotte.
