She existed even when earth and sky had not been divided, when there was not yet a glimmer of light in the vast black expanse of the sky, and stars had not been put in the vast expanse of the sky. She was the beginning of shadow; she was the Night of eternal dawn, and she had the secrets laid in darkness. Nyx was born from the kudos, creation’s vortex, and all the mysteries of existence were enclosed in her, while she was contained in her, bearing all the mysteries of life on the ’starry shroud. Nyx isn’t darkness; however, darkness embraces the world, the Night, which can make things and erase them. She is the mother of the Night’s children. Another group constitutes Hypnos, Thanatos, the avenger Nemesis, and the spinning Fates, the Moirai. To her, they are not opposites and struggle, but they are dancers; they are the light and the dark sides of the eternal cycle in life.This work is devoted to Nyx, an embodiment of the eternal guide leading a human through the most important crossroads - the crossroads of life and death, light and darkness. It steers us to consolation during hours of doubt, encourages us to stand up during the period of self-reflection, and encourages the acceptance of our true selves during times of strength. When we move on to exploring and explaining her mythology, exploring her emblems, and searching for the morality behind all that, we enter the realm she controls - the sphere of the Night - to find the light there not despite the darkness, but because of it.This journey through the realm of Nyx may help you understand the aesthetic of Night, discover peace within you, embrace who you are, and stride through the Worlds. To her, we learn that beneath the calm starry twinkling Night, the biggest discoveries are hidden, just as we realise that to truly know light, darkness prevails.
