Is Man's appearance on Earth the result of chance, as Darwin would contend? Or is Man's appearance the result of a daring and risky experiment on the part of the Creator of the Universe? Even the Universe may be an experiment. Why, after 3.8 billion years of creating 5 billion life forms, did God apparently decide to gradually allow the bonds of instinct to fall away from one or several life forms? Why did this Creator cause one of these life forms to evolve into one whose intelligence and perception would allow it to discover the secrets of the Universe, to imagine it has a Creator, and a desire to communicate with him? Finally, why would this Creator want to fashion a life-form in His own image? There is evidence that our Creator has had, and still does have, a hand in His experiment. He has continually revealed His expectations, worked more closely with certain individuals, and indicated that some would survive to live another day. Additional questions raised are: Is there really a Creator? Why did He create life on this particular planet? What is Man that He is mindful of him? Did God create someone like Jesus to save His experiment? And how can we resolve the problem of evil? This book combines some of the best writings of those who approach these questions from both a religious and a scientific perspective.
