A young girl wakes up excited to go to school and perform in a school play, only to find out a pandemic caused by coronavirus has changed the world as she knows it. Unable to go to school or participate in her favorite activities, the girl is devastated and looks to her mother for answers. She is frightened after her mother tells her how people are sick and dying because of the virus. Her mother gives her hope after making her aware of the simple ways they can protect themselves from the virus. Knowing that she has the power to stay safe and healthy, the girl quickly stands up to the virus and demands it to leave everyone alone. Refusing to call it by its scientific name, the girl renames the virus Cor-No-No because she feels like she cannot do the things she likes to do. Her mother explains the terms of the temporary new normal and gives examples of how they can get creative to have fun and stay healthy. Go Away, Cor-No-No! is an uplifting, empowering story that encourages families to have hope, even in the worst of times.
