Marcus is a Roman Centurion, cursed to live forever, but without being able to enjoy any of the pleasures of life. He is constantly on the move, as he is pursued and tormented by a demon who slaughters anyone to whom he gets too close. He is protected by an Angel, so that he, personally, is safe. Marcus meets Laura in the 20th Century. She falls in love with Marcus and discovers his secret.
