Ein Aspekt der Analyse wird die Bezugnahme auf die Wirkungsthesen von Gewalt nach Kunczik darstellen: Hier wird ein besonderes starker Fokus auf die, auf Aristoteles zurückgehende Katharsisthese gelegt, da sie im Film auf spezielle Art und Weise eingesetzt wird.Ein weiterer Aspekt der Arbeit wird eine quantitative Untersuchung der Gewalt darstellen, wobei die filmisch inszenierte Gewalt in sieben verschiedene Kategorien, wie Schlagen, Bedrohen oder Vergewaltigung geklustert wird. Für deren Analyse wird an den Anfang der eine allgemeine Definition von Gewalt gestellt.
