On December 8th, 2015, Robert and I welcomed our beautiful son into the world. Asher Grayson Smith, was born at 2:33 pm, weighing in at 9lbs 10oz, and measuring 21 inches long. After getting his vitals taken in the delivery room, he was then moved to the NICU immediately. His blood sugar was less than 10. They decided on Thursday evening, at about 11:30pm, that Asher would be transported to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. It is incredibly hard knowing that you weren’t going home with your baby. We had no idea what was in store for Asher. All we knew, was that he was in the best hands possible. From that moment on....Asher was going to be fixed.... On December 11th 2015, at just about 4:00 am, my husband, mother, and myself (after and hour of begging to be discharged!) followed the ambulance to our new 2nd home. This is where our journey begins....
