A metodologia desenvolvida para a pesquisa mostra que o conhecimento extraído da abordagem proposta pode resolver eficazmente o problema da monitorização e avaliação de microbacias hidrográficas em grande medida. Os resultados da pesquisa mostram que há uma redução na extensão espacial das terras baldias e um aumento na área agrícola. Além disso, através da realização de análises de adequação no ambiente Arc GIS, é possível identificar os locais possíveis para a construção de estruturas de captação de água.
