Die soziopolitische Geschichte des vorkolonialen Schwarzafrikas lehrt uns die Existenz großer politischer Formationen, aus denen die meisten postkolonialen Staaten hervorgegangen sind. Im Fall von Burkina Faso war die traditionelle Macht der Auslöser für die Entstehung mehrerer politischer Formationen, darunter das Beispiel der Moose-Königreiche von Tenkodogo und Wogdogo (Ouagadougou). Die Flut von Veröffentlichungen über diese Königreiche erweckt den Eindruck, dass die Geschichte der Moose abgeschlossen ist. Man muss jedoch zugeben, dass nicht das gesamte Moaaga-Gebiet mit denselben Absichten und Ausrichtungen durch das Sieb der historischen Forschung gegangen ist. Dies lässt sich am Beispiel der unvollendeten und bruchstückhaften Geschichte der Häuptlingsherrschaft von Lâ in der Provinz Passoré illustrieren. Lâ war jedoch von strategischer Bedeutung, da es erstens als Feld für die letzten militärischen Operationen von Naaba Wubri diente, zweitens die erste Hauptstadt und Residenz der Moog-nanambse, d.h. der Könige von Wubr-tẽnga (Wogdogo), war und drittens der Ursprung der Zeremonie des falschen Abschieds war, die in Ouaga begangen wurde.
