Krystal is wacky but has a serious side; she is transgender but has trouble walking in heels even though she likes to dress to nines.In addition to dealing with various LGBTQ+ issues, including inter-community concerns, Geri also addresses bullying, racism and religious matters.Geri is, in some ways, a parody of heterosexual TV series--such as Seinfeld, Friends and The Big Bang Theory--but it is its own story: an LGBTQ+ story that takes place in Toronto and addresses head-on many issues that members of the LGBTQ+ community, and visible minorities, face and must deal with on a daily basis.
